Aww I just saw the code giveaway on twitter...
I don't have a twitter account. Missed out on it big time.
I think the costumes look awesome, though $10 bucks is not chump change for me. Will have to think about this one... And sign up on twitter...

I love the icicles on the horns of the Grenth mask.
As for adding costumes to the store, that's a direction I hope they don't take with items that actually affect gameplay.
I wonder if there are any plans to allow everlasting tonics and costumes to be put in the HoM.

You can buy all 4 games for 50 bucks now...50 bucks for 5 years of playing
even if you bought them all when they came out thats still an incredible bargain

and this is one of the dumbest things ive ever heard. This isnt you must pay for new skill updates, or pay for weapons or armor that count or even pay for something that can be sold or translated into gold.
This is just a nice little luxury item that has no purpose but to make people happy with a nice new costume.
Anet doesnt even come close to freely attaching fees to updates.
If you even try to suggest that anet is money-hungry then im sorry but you are an idiot

I love the costumes They look cute on tiny monks. I'd say the female Dwayna is my favorite. I also love supporting Anet and a dead game

I wasn't referring to artist wages. I meant in-game. They're too cheap and easy for players to attain. Jus spending the first 30 minutes of the Update in the Eye, I saw more of those two sets than I care to.
My concern is the saturation of that particular look within the game. Armor sets and certain tonics take effort to get, and their (in-game) price reflects that. Not so /w the costumes.
Also, why are Proph native chars shafted as usual by having them wait 'till LA to craft the costumes?

Cool costumes, a bit pricey for me though. Throw in a bonus character slot or storage slot and I'd consider it though.
The costumes would have been awesome as a tonic, in my opinion.

Anet, you poor thing, 8.99 euros for two costumes lol. I admit they're nice though.
Could have been a free x-mas gift to the community, but no, they need to squeeze every penny out of it.
I've bought everything from special edition weapons to BMP, extra character slots and all extra storage panes. But I feel insulted by this offer like Sabre Wolf mentionned earlier in this thread.
X-mas, a time of giving...from our wallet to Anet lol.

To me i like the content but the money/value is preety low... But, it seems regina talked to us.. theres a + i was starting to think they has fired her.. shes been preety much that wuite w/ us.. cough*gaile was so much better*cough

Ok, so people are saying "$10 for a COSTUME".
So, what WOULD you pay extra for? Leet stats weapons or armour? Access to skills? A more powerful pet?
Because those are game breakers, which create the Haves and Have Nots. The game centered around balance, and equal chance/stats for all. A player should not be rejected because they don't have a particular skill or item that can only be bought with real world money.
Yes, this ideal is what has caused the hate for micro-transactions in other GAMES - let's not make it a racial thing here.

Well how much do skill updates cost? Will we be seeing those included into microtransactions? A lot of people sure seem to want them.

Sorrow's Furnace was for free and I'm sure a lot more people worked on that. I do understand Anet can't pull something like that for free anymore, but seriously, this offer is laughing with your playerbase.
